Day 1 – Arrival & winding down
Arrive, drop your bags in your cosy holiday apartment and take a first stroll through Gemünd. In the evening, the perfect start: your exclusively reserved sauna – Finnish sauna and infrared, completely private, just for you and your loved ones. That's how relaxation begins.
Day 2 – Hike to Vogelsang
The classic route straight from the holiday park: along the Wildnistrail and Eifelsteig to Vogelsang and back. 15.8 km, wonderful Eifel views at the Modenhübel and a well-earned cake stop at the Morsbacher Hof farm café. In the evening: tired legs, a happy heart.
Day 3 – Pumpkin magic at Krewelshof
An excursion to NRW's largest pumpkin show: more than 100,000 pumpkins, this year with a jungle theme, a giant pumpkin pyramid and a maize maze. A treat for families and photo fans – and you can conveniently book the tickets through us.
Day 4 – The active Eifel: e-bike & water
Explore Lake Urft by e-bike (available to hire directly from us) or cruise gently across Lake Rur by boat. Wide views, fresh air, pure Eifel.
Day 5 – Enjoy & farewell
Sleep in, enjoy a regional breakfast and take one last walk in the forest. You'll head home with a full heart and a firm resolve to come back soon.

A 15.8 km circular trail from the holiday park through the Eifel National Park
This circular route starts and ends right at the holiday park and leads along the Wildnistrail and Eifelsteig to the Vogelsang National Park Centre – with panoramic views at the Modenhübel and a well-earned cake break at the Morsbacher Hof farm café.

More than 100,000 pumpkins, a giant pumpkin pyramid and countless photo spots: the pumpkin show at Krewelshof Eifel (Mechernich-Obergartzem) is one of the region's most beautiful autumn experiences – open daily until mid-November, this year with a jungle theme and a maize maze. Not everyone can stay for five days – and that's perfectly fine. Even a short break gives you forest air, peace and quiet, and real autumn moments:
- 2 days / 1 night – A short escape: arrive, take a forest walk, enjoy the exclusive sauna.
- 3 days / 2 nights – Hiking weekend: the Vogelsang trail, sauna as a reward and an evening to savour.
- 4 days / 3 nights – Autumn indulgence: hiking, the pumpkin show at Krewelshof and wellness.
Our tip: once you're here, you'll happily extend – of course, the full five days are the loveliest.
How many days should you plan for the Eifel?
Five days are ideal for the finest highlights around Gemünd: enough time for hiking, the national park, an excursion and real relaxation. Shorter breaks from one night are also possible with us at any time.
